June 22nd, 2020 – November 1, 2020 (EXTENDED DEADLINE)
The Creative Project is an independent project where students propose and investigate a question, demonstrating their mastery of knowledge and passion through a final presentation. Students must conduct an original project of their interest in the parameter of the following prompt:
Identify a problem in your community and propose a plan for a solution.
As a starting off point, you may consider environmental or societal issues you see today. For instance, what are the effects of fake news on our society, given the prominent role of social media and mass media in our culture? Or in another case, how can we as students, use the platforms we have today, to publicize and advocate for change? Remember, these are just suggestions to help guide you. You may choose to pursue anything that interests you.
Deadline: By 11:59PM on November 1st, you must submit your project through email at email@example.com. Your final presentation must include either a short video (3-5 minutes) explaining what you have learned or Google Presentation (equivalent to a 3-5 minutes live presentation).
All submissions will be judged by the Outreach and Prep team members and winners will be announced one week after submissions. The prize for winners is free Kindles! Please note that selected works will be published on our website as well.
Requirements for the Project:
- Create a question and state that in your presentation. Tell us why you have chosen this question and area of interest. Explain and show what you have done
- If submitting a video, the video must be at least over 3 minutes
- If submitting a Google Presentation, please include engaging pictures and texts relevant to the topic of your choice
- Have fun!
